Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, Sevier Funeral Home Chapel, Chickasha. Interment: Amber Cemetery, Amber. Sevier Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha for Erin Dannelle Jones, 38, of Haskell.

Interment will be in the Amber Cemetery in Amber under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Ms. Jones died May 31, 2015.

Ms. Jones was born August 13, 1976. She was raised in Chickasha, Amber and Muskogee and graduated from Hilldale High School in 1994.

She graduated in 1998 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and received her Masters of Education

Administration from NSU Tulsa in 2006.

Ms. Jones began her teaching career in Haskell in 1999. She served as principal at Brassfield Middle School in Bixby before returning to Haskell where she was the middle school and high school principal for the past four years.

She was very active with all school activities, especially sports, and was a vital part of the Haskell community.

She was a National Board Certified teacher and held workshops every year to help others teachers attain their National Certification. She was also a Great Expectations instructor.

She attended the First Assembly of God in Haskell.

Ms. Jones is survived by her mother, Bobbye Jones of Gore; her sister, Shannon Mitchell and husband, Jerry of Warner; two brothers, Wayne Jones of Muskogee and Jeff Jones and wife, Kim, of Center, Tex.; her grandmother, Retha Boggess of McAlester; two nieces, Shelby and Madison Jones; three nephews, Jarred Jones and wife, Kaden, of Comanche and Grant Jones and wife, Lauren, of Oklahoma City and Jeffrey Jones of Hartford, Ky.; two great nephews, Jett Jones and Levi Alden and one great niece, Brooklyn Alden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Truman Jones; her paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Monroe Jones and her maternal grandfather, Jim Boggess.

HASKELL, Oklahoma - School board officials in Haskell confirm that the high school principal has died.

Erin Jones was found deceased in her home, according to School Board President John Dillingham It's believed Jones died of natural causes.

"It will be a huge loss for our school system," Dillingham said. "She's been our principal for around five years, our high school principal."

Jones was a teacher at Haskell Public Schools prior to a break working at Bixby. She then returned to Haskell as the principal.
