Darrell is survived by his two children, Vickie (Doug) (Henson) Peltier, of Oakton, Virginia, and David (Lisa) Henson, of Sidney; two grandchildren, Katie (Van) (Peltier) Tran-Lam, and Adam Peltier; and great-grandchild, Colton Tran-Lam. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Clayton and Betty Wolaver; and one brother, Leonard Henson.
Darrell was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather (Papa), who proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and a member of Sidney Jaycees and the American Legion. He enjoyed many summers on his houseboat in Brookville Lake in Indiana, and appreciated his time surrounded by wonderful neighbors, family, and friends.
Friends may call Friday, August 31, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home with services to follow at 2:30 p.m. Pastor John Young will be officiating services. Full military honors will be held at the graveside by Sidney American Legion Post 217 at Shelby Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
