She was born in Pulaski County on June 6, 1907, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Mabry and Artie Worrell Mabry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Haven Tickle by a son; a grandson; a granddaughter; three brothers and five sisters.
She was a member of the Dublin Methodist Church.
Surviving are: sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth H. and Barbara Tickle of Dublin; Richard Daniel Tickle of Wytheville; Douglas Wayne and Rose Marie Tickle of Dublin; by daughters and sons-in-law Pauline T. and Hensel McNew of Dublin; Lola T. and Douglas Malone of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; Mary Lou and K. Tommy Lorton of Dublin; and one sister, Delfa M. Tolbert of Bluefield, W. Va.
Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Saturday evening at the Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Arrangements are by the Stevens Funeral Home, Inc.,
