Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Triplett, 89, who died Wednesday morning, January 28, at her home east of Stillwater, were held at the Strode funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Virtes Williams of Tahlequah officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery.
The deceased was born in Franklin county, Missouri, February 8, 1841. She was married to William P. Triplett near Gray Summitt, Mo., January 24, 1866. Born to this union were 13 children, nine of whom are living. They are: Walter, George and Mrs. O. Emmons, Stillwater; Mrs. Ella Watson, Kansas City, Mo.; C.E., La Junta, Colo.; Lee and G.C., Denver, Colo.; Mrs. T.A. Wright, Rockport, Mo.; Mrs. L.W. Ritchey, Sumner; also 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Six grandchildren served as pall bearers, Billy Harvey, Melvin and Chester Triplett, Elmer Van Arsdale and Martin Craft.
