John Robert Neely, Jr. was a man of great faith who's kind, warm, loving spirit ministered to all those around him. Rob was born October 8, 1937 in Atlanta Georgia and departed this life on May 30, 2015 at Emory University Hospital.

He lived in Stockbridge Georgia with his wife of 57 years, Jerry Hunter Neely.

He is survived by his son Greg Neely and his wife, Barbie, of Powder Springs Georgia; his daughter Lane Neely Pyke and her husband Charles Pyke Jr. of McDonough Georgia. Rob's five grandsons are Preston, Austin and Ross Neely, Chad and Chandler Pyke. He is also survived by his brother Ben "Dock" Neely, and wife Marie, from Charlotte NC.

Rob graduated from Russell High School in 1955 and Georgia Institute of Technology in 1960 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Rob was a 3rd baseman on the Georgia Tech baseball team from 1956 to 1958, and was on the 1957 SEC Championship Team.

He served on active duty and reserves in the US Army from 1960-1965. He was a Professional Engineer and owner of Ful-Bro Engineering, Inc. since 1970. Rob was a member of Southwest Christian Church and former member and deacon of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Southwest Christian Church, East Point, Georgia. With Minster Craig Kingston and Minster James White officiating. Mr. Neely will lie in state from 1:00 PM till the hour of service. The interment will be at Camp Memorial Park Fayetteville. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
