Delbert Gates
PARIS - Delbert Charles Gates, 93, of Paris, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 18, 2005) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Sutton and Son Funeral Home, in Paris, with the Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service today at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 9, 1911, in Redmon, the son of Charles and Leona Gates. He married Blanche Butler in 1940; she survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Connie Gard of Casey; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and one twin sister.
Mr. Gates retired after working 46 years for the ICM Grain Company.
