Strine Funeral To Be Saturday
Funeral services for Elmer Strine, 72, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel of the Laufersweiler funeral home. Major Jack Cheyne, retired Salvation Army officer, will officiate. Burial will be in North Lawn cemetery.
Mr. Strine died Thursday morning in an ambulance en route to Mercy hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home, 306 First street northwest.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, Jan 12, 1886 (sic), he was educated in that community. He came to Fort Dodge with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Strine, as a young man.
He was married to Miss Margaret Curtis at Lehigh in 1907 (sic). Mrs. Strine survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Gibbs of Manchester and Miss Mildred Strine of Fort Dodge. A son, his parents, three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
