Elmer Richardson, 88, passed away with his family at his side at the VA Hospital in Muskogee, OK. He was born on July 26, 1926 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Charlie Mac and Vinie Ivy (Emory) Richardson. Elmer enlisted in the Army reached the rank of Staff Sergeant and was given a honorable discharge in 1946. In 1981, he married Betty Harp in Benson, Arizona. They enjoyed a full family life with a total of 13 children. Elmer loved to hunt, fish and enjoy time with his family, especially his adopted daughter, Connie. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry Mack Richardson; brothers, Bill, C.W., Arval, Charles, Zelbert, Oza Lee and Noah Lee. A funeral celebrating the life of Elmer Richardson will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday June 2, 2015 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with burial to follow.
