Ted Lee Moore, 85, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, died after a long illness on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Hospice Center of Charleston.

Mr. Moore was born May 10, 1930, in Andrews, SC, a son of Fred Lee Moore and Bessie Coker Moore.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He honorably retired from the United States Army as a Lt. Col. He was a Vietnam and Korean War Veteran, a True Warrior. Ted was heroic by nature and blessed with quick wit and devilish good looks.

He was survived by his wife, Brenda Hiott Moore; his children, James L. (Judy) Moore of Goose Creek, Patty VanDyne of Tennessee, Terrie (David) Howlett of Charleston, and Susan Green; daughter-in-law, Deborah Moore of Goose Creek; grandchildren, Charles, Tyler, and Lee VanDyne, Jennifer Wahrmund, and Stephanie Towers, Ryan, George, and Shane Green; great-grandchildren, Drew and Caroline Wahrmund, and Carter Towers; a sister, Eunice Ward of Goose Creek; his very special niece, Joann Ward Smith; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Phillip R. Moore; and two sisters, Elizabeth Wells and Virginia Hinson.

Funeral services were 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, in Carolina Memorial Chapel. Burial with full military honors followed immediately after the service in the Valor Section of Carolina Memorial Park. Arrangements by Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations.
