Phillip Bruce Carr, left this life on 13 Oct 2018 and was laid to rest at Parsons City Cemetery. The son of Riely and Georgie Carr, he was born in Hendricks, WV, 14 Jul 1927. He attended Parsons High School and was inducted in the PHS Hall of Fame. He served in the US Army 1945-1947.
After graduating from LaSalle University, he became a Special Agent of the FBI. Over his career, he was assigned to the Atlanta, New York City, Pittsburgh and Miami offices, working numerous high profile cases.
He was elected President of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. While President, he established a relationship with the RCMP Veterens Association, becoming an Honorary Member. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and served as President of the Florida Society. He was also an active Member of the local Fraternal Order of Police and International Police Association.
He was a Mason and member of the Shrine and Royal Order of Jester. In 2005, he became a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He is survived by two sisters; his wife; a son and a daughter, and his grandson.
