George W. Mincher, 61, of 105 Delaware Blvd., died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral arrangements will be announced later by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.
Mr. Mincher was a retired government employee and the father of former major league baseball player Don Mincher.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian G. Mincher; a son, Don Mincher, Meridianville; two brothers, Gene Mincher, Jackson, Tenn., and Virgil Mincher, Huntsville; two sisters, Lillian Eaton, of Huntsville, Inez Mayes, Detroit, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be in State Line Cemetery, with Spry Funeral Home in charge. The Revs. Shelby Gurley and Donald Ramey will officiate.
Mr. Mincher was a native of Jackson County, and a retired Civil Service employee of NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian G. Mincher, Huntsville; a son, Don Mincher, Meridianville; two brothers, Gene Mincher, Jackson, Tenn., and Virgil Mincher, Huntsville; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Eaton, Huntsville, Mrs. Inez Mayes, Roseville, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
