Mr. John Steven “Steve” Caviness, age 51, of South Lake Dr., Carrollton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008. He was born January 29, 1957 in Fulton County, Georgia the son of Jimmy Andrew Caviness and the late Jeanette Delong Caviness. Mr. Caviness was retired from the Postal Service after 30 years of service from the Atlanta District and a member of First Baptist Church of Carrollton. Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Hudspeth. Survivors include his wife, Joan Caviness, daughter, Kelly Caviness; parents, Jimmy & Betty Caviness of Suwanee; father in law, A.T. Bundrick of Opelika, AL; sister, Sandra Brogdon of Suwanee; brother and sister in law, Andrew & Fonda Caviness of Buford; brothers in law and sisters in law, James Hudspeth of Duluth, William Bundrick of Opelika, Gerald & Paulette Bundrick of Tifton, Don Bundrick, Charles & Jerri Bundrick, Joey Bundrick all of Opelika, and Judy & Joe Karnap of Brooks, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10 AM from First Baptist Church in Carrollton with Dr. Steve Davis and Rev. Larry Insko officiating. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park.
