Theodore O. Chase
AKA: Theodore Olaf Opager
August 31, 1914-September 20, 2014

On Saturday evening Theodore (Ted) Chase better known to most as just "grandpa" passed peacefully, twenty days after his 100th birthday, into the arms of God. His life should be celebrated and remembered as being a mighty man of God, a loving husband, a dedicated father, a proud grandfather and a loyal friend. Even though we are deeply saddened by his death and he will truly be missed by many for his big smile, his long stories and his tight hugs, we are comforted in knowing that he is now in heaven with Jesus.
He is survived by his daughter Martha (Marty) Penn, his three grandchildren and their spouse. His five great-grandchildren.
Service held in the Julia Morgan chapel at Chapel of the Chimes.
Date: Friday October 3, 2014
Location: Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue Oakland, CA 94611
Interment will be held in the mausoleum.
