TRINITY -- A service for friends and family of Mary Sue Knight, 73, will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 292 Private Road 5000, in Crockett.
Mrs. Knight died Tuesday, March 26, in Crockett. She was born March 20, 1940, in Kenafee and was a retired finance officer. Mrs. Knight worked for Industrial State Bank of Houston for more than 30 years. After retiring, she moved to Crockett 21 years ago. She loved to garden and grow vegetables to share with friends and family. She also enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and growing beautiful roses.
Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph O'Ferro Knight, and her siblings, Vallie D. Jones, Jessie B. Jones, Winnie Don Jones and Larry Wayne Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Ramona Gay Haltom; a sister, Mimmie Lee Worley; a brother, Roy Eugene Jones; grandchildren, Christina Sue Ackley and husband Mac and Christopher James Haltom and fiancé Victoria Roesch; great-grandchildren, Christine Paige Ackley, Cameron Grace Ackley and Dani Marie Ackley; and a number of other relatives. Waller-Thornton Funeral Home of Trinity directed the arrangements.
