Doris Elaine Sauter was bitten by the reading/writing bug at an early age, an affliction that was exacerbated by reading and re-reading Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 in high school. With some book or other permanently implanted in her right hand, she went on to earn a BA in Humanities from Chapman College in Orange, California, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas. She was the owner of Divine Mercy Press, a print-on-demand publishing company based in Oceanside, CA, and Dallas, Texas.
