Anna Watkins of Woodville was born in Panacea, FL on June 30, 1923, the firstborn child of Fleece and Flossie Oliff. She joined her Lord and Savior peacefully, surrounded by loving family at Big Bend Hospice House on Thursday, May 28, 2015.

She worked at Winn Dixie, then the FSU Post Office and became the Post Master in Woodville, Florida. In 1977 she was named Florida’s Postmaster of the Year. She was an active member in the National Association of Postmasters (NAPUS) until she retired from the postal service December 29, 1989. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 119 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodville, Florida.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tommy Weekley, who was killed in action during World War II; grandson, Tommy McPherson; two great grandsons, Asher and Bryce Watkins; brothers, Graham K. Oliff, Joseph W. Oliff, Warren E. Oliff all from Woodville and sister, Mary Rossie Kovach from Tampa; brothers-in-law, Steve Kovach from Tampa, Floyd Olson and Tom Lewis from Woodville.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Weekley (Jane), Janie McPherson, Paula Causseaux (Morris) all from Woodville and son, Benny Watkins (Roslyn) from Jacksonville; twin sister Lucille Olson and sister Linda Lewis; brother, Talmadge Oliff (Amerinda); sisters-in-law, Barbara Oliff "Bobbie" and Joyce Oliff; grandsons, Bret Weekley, Mark Weekley, Matt McPherson, Garrett Watkins; granddaughters, April Blackburn, Amy Causseaux, Carrie Taylor, Olivia Kirby and Kimberly Kelly; and nineteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 10:00 -11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Woodville. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Woodville Cemetery.
