Danny J. Burton, 58, of Momence, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
He was born Dec. 1, 1955 in Harvey, the son of Wendell and Jean Rada Burton. He married Barbara Madison Giasson on Oct. 31, 2003 in Kankakee.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Burton of Momence; children: Trisha Burton and Jonathan Willis Sr., of Bourbonnais, Melissa and Anthony Fronek of Cabot, Ark, Danny Burton and Tiffany McFarland of Bourbonnais, Keri and Richard Madden of Aroma Park, Timmy Burton and Amy Revellette of Momence, Justin Burton and Samantha Phelps of Momence, Zachary Burton and Stephanie Smith of Bradley, Joseph Giasson and Rachel Hasik of Momence, Alene and Kenneth Meyer of Momence; 22 grandchildren, his mother, Jean Ashline of Manteno; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Beverly Burton of Manteno, Dennis and Valerie Burton of Cave-in-Rock, and Davey and Mary Burton of Dyer, Ind; two sisters, Debbie Gifford of Bourbonnais and Diane Corzine of Harrisburg.
Preceding him in death were his father and one son, Butch Giasson.
Danny was a retired maintenance man with the Kankakee County Housing Authority. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working on cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the noon funeral services at Cotter Funeral Home in Momence, with the Rev. Robert Grove officiating. Internment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Momence. Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
