"Carl Nay, 90, Stricken Thursday

Funeral services for Carl Nay, 90, of 801 North Cherry street, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hathaway-Morrison funeral home. The retired farmer has been in failing health for several months.
Mr. Nay died Thursday at Bartholomew County hospital. Persons may call at the funeral home after 4 o'clock this afternoon. Burial will be in Garland Brook cemetery after services by the Rev. Joseph W. Burns.
Born July 9, 1879 in Jefferson county, he was the son of Willet D. and Susan Alley Nay and was a descendant of Jacob Nay who came to the United States in 1726 from Rhine valley in Germany. His wife, the former Lyda B. Cotton, died in 1959.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Henry Weihe of Knollwood addition, Miss Genevieve Nay and Mrs. Lucille Mancuso, both of 801 North Cherry street; a son, Don C. Nay of Edinburg; two sisters, Miss Lola V. Nay and Miss Minnie Nay, both of North Madison; two brothers, Otis Nay of Lawrence and Albert Nay of North Madison, and two granddaughters. A sister and five brothers preceded him in death."
