Born Dec. 21, 1916, in Williams Bay, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Egbert. Lived 25 years in Rockford, coming here from Freeport. Married to the former Ava N. Penley in Jackson, Mo., Dec. 23, 1939. Employed as a molder by Rockford Brass Co. for six years, and at J. I. Case Co. for five years.
Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Daniel and Richard, Rockford; a grandson; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Carter, Rockford; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Norcutt, Chicago, Mrs. Mary Stinson, Mrs. Elaine Meehan, and Mrs. Flora Jean Koof, all three of Rockford.
Services at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery, Winnebago.
