She was a daughter of E. J. and Dollie Sergent Baumgardner and was born in Harlan County, Kentucky.

Elizabeth "Liz" Hester Creech, 75, of Hodgenville, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.J. and Dollie Sergent Baumgardner; a sister, Ventla Abner; and three brothers, Carl Baumgardner, Ronnie Baumgardner and Elmer Ross Baumgardner. Suvivors include her husband, Clayton G. Creech; a daughter, Anna Maria Creech of Hodgenville; two sons, Clayton R. Creech of Hawaii and William R. Davis of Rose Hill, Va.; three sisters, Frances Sue Mendoza of Maryland, Hazel Lavada Hembree of Indiana and Margaret Middleton of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville
