"Nina Sells Thompson, age 90, of Horse Cave, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Hart County Healthcare Center. She was a native of Hart County and a very active and dedicated member of Horse Cave Baptist Church. She graduated from high school in 1942 and, soon after, moved to Louisville going to work and retiring from Tube Turns, Inc. She married O.L. "Lawless" Thompson in 1968 and moved back to Hart County in 1973. She volunteered for many organizations such as hospitals, nursing homes, and tutoring for GED because of her love for helping other people.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Anderson Sells and Sarah Elizabeth Cole, her husband, O.L. "Lawless" Thompson, and five sisters, Pearl Irvin, Uldeen Scott, Gracy McCorkle, Marie Corrigan, Mildred Edwards and one brother Norman Sells.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by several nieces and nephews including Linda Locke and husband, Mike, of Louisville, and Bobby Edwards and wife, Lisa, of Rockfield.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Horse Cave Baptist Church."
