Laura Mae Dunn, 89, of Columbia passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, to join her heavenly father.
Laura was born Jan. 26, 1926, to Nathan and Iveal Gentry in Marianna, Ark.
She joined Robert Dunn together in marriage in Marianna, Ark. They moved to Columbia in 1962.
She worked as a nurse at Lenoir Retirement Community for 18 years. She loved spending time with people and encouraging them. She enjoyed attending St. Luke Methodist Church and was a member of the Pastor’s Aide Committee.
She had two daughters, Zenobia Issac and Patricia Patrick. She had two brothers, Nathan Gentry Jr. and Vernon Webb.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Howard) Patrick; her grandchildren, Roger (Tracey) McClendon, William and Josh Linzie, Anna Linzie, Augustine (Chico) Hardin, Aaron Patrick, and Margaret Patrick; her great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to American Cancer Society.
