William Robert Whitt, age 54 of Thealka, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville. Born September 30, 1960 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late William Thomas Whitt and Betty Laney Whitt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Bolden. He is survived by two brothers, Jack Whitt and Shirlie of Wittensville, Kentucky and Arlie Whitt and Julie of Marion, Indiana; two sisters, Mildred Whitt and Larry Bolen of Lexington, North Carolina, and Rita Napier and Ervin of Thealka, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be 12pm Sunday, May 31, 2015 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Laney Cemetery at Offutt. Tommy Meade will officiate. Friends may visit the funeral home from 10am to 12pm Sunday prior to the service. Arrangements are by the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, Paintsville.
