Graveside services for Morris C. Moore, 89, of Canadian, TX will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Eller Flat Prairie Dell Cemetery with Gary Jahnel, officiating. Inurnment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church with Gary Jahnel, officiating.

Morris passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Canadian, TX.

Morris was born February 26, 1926, in Gem City, TX to the late Mr. Thomas Lindsey Moore and Mrs. Ruby Dean (Morris) Moore. He attended school at Blue Ridge. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He married Helen Ruth (Howard) Moore in January 27, 1960 in Amarillo, TX. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2001. He was a farmer and rancher out in the Gem City community. He was a member of Gem City Baptist Church and later attended the Church of Christ in Roll, OK. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Walton “Wart” Moore and two sisters, Dorothy Herd and Naomi Briggs.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Kupka and husband Ed of Amarillo, TX; Dena Conn and husband Roger of Canadian, TX; four grandchildren, Michael Kupka of Amarillo, TX; Nathan Kupka of Washington, D.C.; Hannah Sisco of Canadian, TX; Holly Musick of Amarillo, TX.

The family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
