CASTLEWOOD, Va. Christopher "Cripper" Brandon Vance, 26, entered into Heavenly rest lying in the arms of his loving mother on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was born in Lebanon, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur "Jaw Jack" and Ruby Hicks, and Grace Vance; and his beloved pets, Pork Chop and Jake. He was a 2007 graduate of St. Paul High School. Chris loved his family and farming. He was truly one of a kind and had an amazing love for everyone. He is survived by his mother, Vickie "Bug" Alderson; his father, Thomas "Nooney" Vance; his second mom, Angie "Sloopy" Hensley; special uncle, Jesse Hensley; one half sister, Tammy Stanley; one half brother, Tony Vance; two special aunts, Sandy Roberts and Nancy Hileman Mosley; special uncle, Huck Hicks; a very special cousin, Derek Hicks; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services for Christopher "Cripper" Brandon Vance will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with the Rev. Herbert W. Scott and the Rev. Marvin Cain officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Derek Hicks, Zak Hicks, Tony Vance, Bud Harmon, Chance Hileman, Carl Roberts, Larry Meade, and Wayne Meade. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
