CLAREMONT - Sidney A. Minges, seventy-seven, died at his home in Claremont Thursday evening, after an illness of a few days. Mr. Minges suffered a paralytic stroke on Sunday.
A native of Claremont, he had spent his entire life in faming here until his retirement a few years ago.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in St. Mark's Lutheran church, of which he was a life-long member. His body will lie in state at the church for an hour prior to the rites. Rev. L. W. Miller, the pastor, will officiate.
Mr. Minges is survived by his widow, the former Miss Amanda Brinkley of Claremont; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Holman of Claremont; a son, Carroll MInges of Morganton; a brother, John Minges of the Balls Creek section; and a number of grandchildren.
