Janet Childers Hanson, 83, of Jasper passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends on Sunday at 1:00 until the time of the service. A Private Interment will be held at Hancock Cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Jasper, she was a member of Curtis Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Hanson, son David Hanson, and brother Jim Childers.
She is survived by her son Danny & wife Stacie Hanson of Jasper, Texas; her daughter Donna & husband Mike Exley of Jasper, Texas; as well as five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
