LARS EINAR NILSSON, 84, of Lodi Court, former partner in a Providence automotive parts company for 55 years, died Sunday in the Sunny View Nursing Home, Warwick.
He was the husband of Edith (Berg) Nilsson.
Born in Sunne, Varmland, Sweden, a son of the late Nils and Maria (Sundberg) Nilsson, he came to this country in 1929, living in Warwick for 50 years.
He was a partner in Werner, Sullivan and Nilsson, an auto parts business, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Warwick.
Mr. Nilsson was a member of Johan Baner Lodge No. 36, Vasa Order of America, and served as district master and district deputy of Rhode Island District No. 3. He was also a member of the Verdani Club of Rhode Island and had served on the board of directors of the Scandinavian Home, Cranston, for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, two daughters, two sisters, a brother and four grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Bertil, Robert and Werner Nilsson.
