Visitation for Clarence H. Marcotte, 80, of Bourbonnais, will be from 3-9 p.m. today at the Cotter Funeral Home, Momence, with a 4 p.m. wake service.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Momence, by the Rev. Dennis Settles.
Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Manor, St. Patrick Academy or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mr. Marcotte died Monday, July 3, 2000 at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Mr. Marcotte was a retired farmer who farmed all his life in the Momence area.
Mr. Marcotte had served on the Momence School Board for 12 years. He was a lifelong member of the Kankakee Farm Bureau. He served on the St. Patrick's Credit Union Board and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and the Moose Lodge.
He was Commissioner of the Spring Creek Drainage District until 1998. He belonged to the Antique Automobile Club of America and the local Momence AACA.
He was born Feb. 5, 1920 in Momence, the son of Henry and Anna Mae Zace Marcotte. His parents are deceased.
His first wife, the former Florine McCullough, whom he married in 1939, died in October 1946.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Reiners Schulz, whom he married Oct. 23, 1947 in Pontiac, of Bourbonnais; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Eldon and Loraine Marcotte, Paul and Jeanne Marcotte, all of Momence, Steve Marcotte of Naperville; seven grandchildren, David, Brian, Matthew Marcotte, Terese Parmely, Julie Rauch, Sharie Smart and Mary Jones; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is one grandson, Michael Marcotte.
He was a member of St. Patrick Church of Momence and Maternity BVM Church.
Boating, water skiing, golf, bowling and antique cars were his life hobbies.
