Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on October 9, 1953 to Robert and Virginia (Butler) Conklin and moved to Alpena in 1984. Barbara had passion for equestrian and raised many horses; she had a love for her family and a wonderful spirit of giving. Barbara was a career nurse’s aide and took great pleasure in helping people and generously giving of her time to share her skills with anyone in need.
Surviving are 3 sons, Kurt of Alpena, Bert of Alpena, Brent (Laura) of Cheboygan; 3 grandchildren, Jakeb, Koartnie, Elijah; 2 sisters, Patricia (Stanley) Clark, Sharon Oder; 1 brother, Jack (Pattie) Conklin; the Don Homant family and Beebe family.
