Dunn, Jeffrey L.
Age 57 formerly of Harmon St. Elmira and presently residing in Auburn, NY passed away Fri. May 22, 2015 at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse following declining health. Born on April 11, 1958 in Elmira, Jeff was the son of the late, John J. Jr. & Barbara Ann (Maynard) Dunn.

In service to his country, Jeff was first enlisted in the US Air Force for five years, after which he served in the NY Air National Guard for another 15 years, first with the 174th TFW and later, the 152nd AOG. He was employed by DISA EUR, Germany as a Defense Message System Analyst. Jeff enjoyed traveling the world, loved softball and soccer, and felt blessed to be able to witness, first hand, the 2006 World Cup in Germany, river rafting, was very social, was active in the American Legion, and cherished his loving family who survive; wife, Susan Dunn, Auburn; son, Jeremy (Amanda) Dunn, Elmira; daughter, Kearstan (fiancée, Jeff Slocum) Dunn, Glen Allen, VA; stepchildren, Joe (Maureen) Schuler, Lindsay Schuler, John Bieber, and Joely Schuler; step-grandchildren, who he adored, Jack Bieler, Joey and Anna Schuler; siblings, Michael (Kathy) Dunn, Pine City; Gregory (Diane) Dunn, Gerald Dunn all of Elmira; Suzanne (Jerry) Brown, N. Garden, VA; many special cousins, nieces, nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport/Elmira on Thur. May 28, 2015 between the hours of 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7:15 p.m. with full military honors accorded Mr. Dunn in the Gardens with interment in Woodlawn National Cemetery at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, a charity close to his heart.
