David Arthur Kearney 78, of Greenwood Avenue, Keene, NH, died suddenly, Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene.

He was born in Marlborough, NH, November 29, 1936, the son of Arthur David and Gertrude Dorissa (Frechette) Kearney. He grew up in Keene, attending local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Keene High School.

Following graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served from 1955 until 1959, during the Korean War.

Mr. Kearney worked for 37 years in project engineering as a machine designer for Markem Corporation in Keene. His true ingenuity was evident by his record of having held seven patents for designing different types of label and marking machines.

He was a member of the American Legion Gordon Bissell Keene Post #4 and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 478. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Keene.

Mr. Kearney enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking. He enjoyed talking with people, and he especially enjoyed his daily cup of coffee with friends at Lindy's Diner in Keene.

Burial was in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene.
