Martha W. (Oberholtzer) Newswanger, 84, of New Holland, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. She was the wife of Paul Z. Newswanger.

Born in Bareville, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Weaver) Oberholtzer.

Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving in addition to her husband are 10 children: Anna Mary Rissler, wife of Paul, of
New Enterprise; Harvey Newswanger, husband
of Anna Mae (Sauder), of Newville; Marian Leid, wife of Alvin, of Shippensburg; Paul
Newswanger, Jr., husband of Dorothy(Sauder),
McAlisterville; Walter Newswanger, husband
of Mary Ann (Zimmerman), of Narvon; Elsie Martin, wife of Glenn, of New Enterprise; Lester Newswanger, husband of Marian (Weaver) of New Holland; Earl Newswanger, husband of Susan (Fox), of Wellman, IA; Grace Stauffer, wife of Eugene, of New Enterprise; and Martha Mae Zimmerman, wife of Raymond, of Mansfield, OH; 8 siblings: Esther Ringler, Ivan Oberholtzer, husband of Martha (Leinbach), Anna Zimmerman, wife of John, John Oberholtzer, Joseph Oberholtzer, husband of Martha (Nolt), Lena Oberholtzer, Harry Oberholtzer,husband of Edna(Brubaker), and David Oberholtzer, husband of Emma Hoover; 60 granchildren, 41 great-grandchild-
ren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents, a brother, Jacob Oberholtzer, and a sister, Elizabeth Shirk.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 9 AM at the home of Lester Newswanger, 467 Blue Rock Rd., New Holland PA 17557, with further services at 9:30 AM at the Weaver-
land Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the home of Lester Newswanger, address above. Kindly omit flowers.
