THOMAS MCBRIDE OF WOLSEY DIES
Thomas J. McBride, an invalid for the past nine months, died late Sunday afternoon at his home, a mile east of Wolsey.

Thomas Johnson McBride was born in Ridgeport, Ia., July 29, 1861. In his youth he learned the moulders trade, later working on the railroad. He spent some time in Kansas freighting with an ox team. January 1, 1889, he and Emily L. Gifford were married at Rolfe, Ia. Following their marriage they moved to Kansas where they lived two years, returning to Iowa to settle in Boone County. In 1913 they moved to the present home southeast of Wolsey.

Surviving are two daughters and one son: Mrs. Regina Schieman, Mrs. Godfrey Peterson and Ray McBride, all of Wolsey; two grandchildren, Richard Schieman, in the U.S. Army, and Charles Peterson of Wolsey. Also surviving is one brother, Ben F. McBride of Wolsey. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died June 29, 1945, and four brothers, Will, George, Henry and Andy McBride.

Funeral services are to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church in Wolsey. Rev. A. W. Wolfe of Huron will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot in Wolsey Cemetery.
