OBITUARY
John William Dumas, 67, died peacefully in his Hampton, GA home on May 24, 2015.
John was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the VFW 5080.
Visitation will take place at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home and Crematory in Peachtree City from 6 to 9 pm on Wednesday, May 27.
The funeral will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, May 28 at 12:30 pm with the burial immediately following at the Eason Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dumas; children, Mark and Becky Dumas, Cindy and Terry Lewis, Jeff Dumas, and Bear; grandchildren, Amy and David Turner, Amber and Josh Parton, John and Emily Dumas, and Emily Lewis; two great grandsons and one soon to be great granddaughter; sister, Maxine Douché; along with several other family members and friends.
John was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a patient and loving father. He married Linda Wiley Dumas twice; once in Gwinnett County in 1969 and again in 2006 in Henry County. They were married a total of 46 years. A union that was destine to be. He was a faithful member of the Crestview Baptist Church in Griffin, GA.
