Mr. Roland John Bush, age 91, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, in Wadley Regional Medical Center Texarkana, Texas.

He was born June 1, 1923, in Winthrop, Arkansas. He was a self-employed timberman, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Winthrop.

Mr. Bush lived in such a way that 'no' and 'I can't" never stopped him from reaching for a greater life for himself and his family. He was the builder, owner and operator of sawmills in Colorado, Texas, and Louisiana. He touched and changed many lives during his lifetime.

Mr. Bush is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and James L. Barber of Shreveport, Louisiana, Carol and Gareth Dew of Skelmorlie, Scotland and Carol and Kent Hendrix of Hope, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Delores Hess of Foreman; six grandchildren, Misty and Alex Alejo of Owens Cross Road, Alabama, Mary and Bryan Caskey of Columbia, South Carolina, Kari Hess of Brunswick, Georgia, Sean McGary of Greenock, Scotland, Kevin Hess of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Clay Hess of Hope; four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Alejo, Penelope Alejo, Henry Caskey, and Molly Caskey; two brothers, Ray Morgan of Montrose, Colorado and LeRoy Morgan of Cookville, Texas; one sister, Mary Kesterson of Winthrop; his aunt, Evelyn Fahrni of Texarkana and a large number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lawson Bush and Mayme Lee Murry; wives, Lou Anne Smith Bush and Wanda Hess Bush; one son, Roger Dale Bush; one daughter, Betty Yvonne Bush; two grandsons, Kyle McGary and Eric McFarland, one granddaughter, Lena Hendrix; his brothers and sisters, Gola Wright, William Morgan, Tollie Morgan, Verbil Clowers, Vea Key, Eunice Sanders, Juanita Hess, Muriel Carver and Wilmuth Wright and his step-father, Albert Morgan.

Funeral services for Mr. Bush will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with his nephews, Terry Hess and Gary Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28th at the funeral home.
