Phil Middleton, age 65 of San Antonio, died on Sunday, May 24, 2015. He worked at USAA for 18 years.

Phil was a professor at Wayland Baptist University, Texas A&M San Antonio, and the Alamo Colleges. Phil will be remembered as an avid Spurs fan. He was a graduate of William Chrisman High School, class of 1967, William Jewel College, The University of Texas at San Antonio and a graduate of the University of MO where he received his Juris Doctorate. He was a lay speaker for the United Methodist Church and active in the Emmaus Community. He was also a member of Mensa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Archie Middleton and Mrs. Alvena Middleton.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Marti Middleton; children, Kevin Francis Middleton and wife, Christine, Sally Middleton-Turrubiates and husband, Ruben, and Patrick Middleton and wife, Lizzie; grandchildren, Jesse Dean, Julianna Renee, Jackson James, McKenzie Ellen, and one on the way - Willow Marie; sister, Bonnie Banning and husband Ray; brother, Steve Middleton and wife Paula and numerous nieces and nephews.
