Donald Edwin Larson, 65, Walnut Grove, CA, died on Wednesday, May 5, 1999 after a lingering illness. He was born to Thomas and Florence (Stecker) Larson in Cannon Falls on September 13, 1933. He attended Cannon Falls schools and lived and worked in the Cannon Falls area. He worked for various farmers and was also in the sodding business. In 1962, he moved to California and has resided there ever since.

He married Pat Knoll on May 10, 1959 in Hastings. He is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, Joe and John of Walnut Grove; daughters, Jeanette George of Stockton, CA, and Jeanne Nixt of Bellingham, WA; one granddaughter and three grandsons, and one great-grandchild; brothers, Gordon of Texas, Ronald of Blue Earth, Richard of Red Wood City, CA; sisters, Clarise (George) Rapp and Darlene Hinz of Cannon Falls, Sharon Johnson of Bloomington, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

An infant son, James; his parents; brothers, Lloyd, Merlyn, and Darrell, and his sister, Carol Fox, preceded him in death. Memorial services were held on Monday, May 10 at C.E. Stewart Chapel and Funeral Home in Rio Vista, CA.
