Funeral services for Stacy Lea Brown, age 48, of Wadley will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harry Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Primitive Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

Ms. Brown passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in Roanoke.

Survivors include: two sons, Scotty Lee Brown of Chicago, IL, and Joshua Shane Brown (Amanda Rice) of Roanoke; four grandchildren; her parents, Henry “Red” and Barbara Bates of Wadley; and one brother, Neal Douglas Bates of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be family friends.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Ms. Brown was born in LaGrange, Georgia, on February 5, 1967, the daughter of William Edward Smith and Barbara Jean Rogers Bates. She was a member of Lanes Chapel Methodist Church. Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Brenda Kaye Jenkins.
