May's first husband was Nicolas J. Bean, son of Henry and Mary J. Bean, grandson of Nicolas Bean and Mary Ann Vanderslice, daughter of John and Sarah (Martin) Vanderslice. May's second husband was Winfield Scott Jarrett, son of Jesse and Ann G (Bean) Jarrett, sister of Henry Bean and daughter of Nicolas and Mary Ann Vanderslice.
All of these individuals are buried in the same area and many in the same row.
May and Winfield also had two other children:
Winfield Scott Jarrett Jr. born April 24, 1904 and died March 8, 1893 in Sarasota, FL.
Marion was born October 3, 1897 and died January, 1976. She married Samuel Brittan.
It's is assumed that May and her mother, Eliza, took over the running of the store after her father passed away in 1890. They appear to have run the store until the State took the area over for the Park.
