Sandra Wheeler Shaw, 69-years-old, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 after her valiant fight with her declining health. Her strong will to live, faith in God and the love of family, friends and many supporters carried her through an exhausting five years.
Sandra was born on December 20, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Archie Grant and Harriet Bowcut Wheeler, the younger of two beautiful girls. She graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1962.
Sandra possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing, love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and joking around, will never be forgotten.
Sandra is survived by her spouse, Steve, of West Jordan, Utah; her children, Michael (Natalie), Cindy (Andre) and Troy (Rachel); her grandchildren Chrystal, Amanda, Devan, Ethan, Arowin and Jaxon; her sister Jean (Berry); niece Paige (Bob); grandniece Anna Jean; grandnephew Wyatt; and she would not want us to forget her loving dog, Chammie.
A graveside service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Saturday, March 23rd at 10:00 a.m.
