Lori Ann Brooks Hill, born April 13, 1964 in New Orleans, Louisiana departed this life on May 21, 2015 in Katy, TX. She graduated from John McDonough High School in New Orleans, LA. Her athletic ability earned her a “Track and Field” scholarship to Prairie View A & M University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 1989.
She began her work career at Jackson Middle School in Houston, TX. She also worked for Waller Independent School District in Waller, TX, Royal Independent School District in Brookshire, TX and Mayde Creek Junior High School in the Katy Independent School District. While working she continued her education and earned a Master of Education degree in School Administration from Prairie View A & M University.
She married Stephen Hill the love of her life in June of 1996.
She is survived by her parents, Annie and Paul Brooks, husband, Stephen Hill a son Corey Brooks (Lakethia) of McKinney TX, three grandchildren, Jaida and Alexis Palmer and Sadie Brooks of McKinney, four sisters, two brothers four aunts and two uncles a great aunt, three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the All Faiths Chapel, Prairie View A & M University, Prairie View,Texas. The viewing will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 2 pm to 7pm at the Singleton Funeral Home, 616 7th St, Hempstead, TX.
