PLATTSBURGH - Janis E. Carter, 39, of Leonard Ave., Plattsburgh, died Wednesday, May 23, 1990, at her home.
She was born in Plattsburgh Jan. 17, 1951, the daughter of Jack E. and Barbara (Palmer) Harris.
She attended the Assembly of God Church in Plattsburgh and had been employed as a a bus driver in Plattsburgh for the past 15 years. She was also co-owner with her husband of R.C. Construction Co.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Carter of Plattsburgh; two sons, Derek and David, and one daughter, Christie, all of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Jack Harris of Plattsburgh and Gary Harris of Beekmantown; three sister, Sharon Bird of Michigan, Mrs. John (Deborah) Rickson of Morrisonville and Kimberly Harris of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hour will be today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
Memorial donations may be made to Clinton County Hospice or the Assembly of God Missionary Fund.
