Gordon R. Bates, 55, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away May 9, 2011 at his home. He was born August 16, 1955 in Hope, Arkansas, the son of Jimmie Mural and Amelia Ann Neal Bates.
Gordon served in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Patrica Bates of the home; two sons, Gordon Ray Bates Jr. of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Matthew Azreale Bates of Decatur, Arkansas; one daughter, Dawn Louise Wynn of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; his father, Jimmie Mural Bates of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Jimmy Wayne Bates Alexandria, Arkansas and Timothy Alan Bates of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren, Nathaniel Wynn, Kinley Bates, Lucas Wynn, Kaden Bates, Jackson Bates and Ty Bates.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 12, 2011 2:00 P.M. Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Bill Walker officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 3291 S Thompson Suite D1 Springdale, Arkansas 72764.
