Mrs. Elizabeth Grubbs, 71, of 619 Snow St. died Friday night in a local hospital. Mrs. Grubs was a member of the North Market Baptist Church and Ladies Bible Class. She was an employee of the Signal Knitting Mills for many years. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Harvey, Chattanooga; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Thrower, Chattanooga, and Mrs. Mary Liza Bunch,Chattanooga; two grand-daughters, Mrs Eloise Ramsey and Miss Mary Jean Harvey; three grand-sons, William Frank Harvey, Ronnie McKinnley Harvey and Terry Lee Harvey all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 o'clock this afternoon at the North Market Baptist Church with Rev. E.L. Youngblood and Rev. Cleo Watts officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery. The following nephews will serve as active pallbearers; Richard Massengale, Eugene Massengale, Winford Massengale, Charles Grubbs Jr., J.T. Thrower Jr., and Willis Reano. The Ladies Bible Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The body will lie in state one hour at the church.
