Sgt Observer William Carlisle McNally , Sgt John James Henry Robbins and Sgt Paul Chaning-Pearce were also killed. Flight Sergeant Pilot Beirnes has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Alamein War Memorial, Egypt.
