Thelma was a member of East Hickory Baptist Church in Hickory. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, McCoy Russell Kiziah and Belvin Punch.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Colleen and William Jonas of Hickory, Dot and Jerry Turner of Conover and Genora and Bob Carroll of Charleston, S.C.; and nine grandchildren, Pamela Coble of Sneads Ferry, Glenn Jonas, Melissa Duncan, Randy Turner, Don Turner and David Turner, all of Hickory, Deborah Myers of Lexington and Barbara Owens and Russell Bolick of Charleston, S.C. She also has 20 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at East Hickory Baptist Church, with Dr. Paul Childers and the Rev. Marc Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Hickory.
