Allen Leroy Earlywine, age 82, husband of Louise Hamilton Earlywine, departed on his heavenly flight Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Central Baptist Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born March 12, 1925, in Nicholas County, Kentucky, to the late Jesse T. and Verena Mattox Earlywine. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, a retired employee of Memphis Logistics Depot and a member of Berry United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: a devoted daughter, Brenda Kay (Roger) Shepherd, of Nederland, Colorado; two brothers, David Earlywine and Clark Earlywine, both of Millersburg; two loving grandchildren, Deanna Lee Shepherd, and her husband, Aaron Oberndorf, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Christopher Shane Shepherd, of Nederland, Colorado; and several special nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Don Fryman and Rev. James Richardson. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Carlisle Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Berry United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 29, Berry, Kentucky 41003. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
