Benjamin Keller, 94, Minot, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, in a Minot nursing home.

Benjamin Samuel Keller was born June 15, 1919, a son of Sam L. and Caroline (Koch) Keller, on the family farm in Greatstone Township, near Benedict. He was raised and educated in the Benedict area. As a young man, Benjamin worked as a machinist in Chicago.

Ben was united in marriage to Anna Johanna Maelik in Minot. They lived in Minot for a time while Ben operated the family farm. They eventually moved to the family farm, where they would raise their family. Ben retired from farming in 1979. Anna passed away in 1995. Ben continued to live at the farm until 2007, when he moved to Minot.

In June 2007, Ben was united in marriage to Ann Lushenko in Minot. They made their home in Minot. Ann passed away May 8, 2012.

Benjamin was a member of the Minot Moose Lodge, Turtle Lake School Board, Minot Knights of Columbus, and the Federal Land Bank Board. He enjoyed watching the stock markets.

Ben is survived by: his children, Mark Keller, Dave Keller, Phyllis Harmon, Della (Darrell) Njos, and Bill Lushenko; one grandson, Joseph C. Keller; special friends, Tim (Kathie) Eslinger and Conrad Olson.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna, wife, Ann; son-in-law, Roger Harmon; and four sisters.

Private family services will be held.
