Point Man, 71, Dies After Long Illness
STRAWBERRY POINT (Special)— A. J. (Bert) Bush, 71, died Tuesday at his home north of Strawberry Point after a lingering illness.
The son of Alfred and Mary (Flaucher) Bush, he was born at Lamont Aug. 26, 1877. On Sept. 9, 1901 he married Lottie Hilton at Stanley. They farmed in the Lamont community until nine years ago when they purchased their present farm near Strawberry Point.
Surivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Talcott of Lamont; two sons, Floyd of Strawberry Point, and Loren of Clermont; four granddaughters; a brother, Loren of Waterloo and three sisters, Mrs. Flora Cook, Lamont, Mrs. Blanche Franks and Mrs. Claude Dye, both of Long Beach, Cal.
Funeral services will be in the melhodist church here Thursday at 2:30 p. m. Burial will be in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
